The latest chapter in the Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Noah Gragson rivalry took a hilarious turn. Both drivers traded jabs on social media after the NASCAR Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway. The lighthearted but sharp exchange caught fans’ attention, adding another twist to their ongoing playful feud.
The two drivers have a history of friendly trash talk online during race weekends. Their latest round kicked off when Gragson, who qualified 24th, posted a photo of Stenhouse, who started further back in 34th, during the pre-race drivers’ meeting. Gragson captioned the post, “This guy is always behind me. It’s like clockwork. #bum.”
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Claps Back in Online Beef With Noah Gragson
But once the race wrapped up, the tables turned. Stenhouse finished 20th, while Gragson came home 30th. Jumping at the chance to clap back, Stenhouse fired off a quick response on X: “Yo, I’m on the way home. You even finish the race yet??”
Fans were quick to join in. Some praised Stenhouse’s witty reply, while others took shots at Gragson’s finish.
One fan said, “I’m a Noah fan and he’s turned into a social media bitch instead of a student of the game. A dude on a tier 1 Ford team giving a dude on a single car underfunded team shit just sits wrong with me. Just a distraction of his horrible qualifying and restarts and garbage CC. SMDH.”
The same fan added, “Yeah but it’s gotten old. It’s just stupid and cringe now. Noah is getting smoked by him and Noah keeps making dumb post like he’s taking care of business. Save the boasting for when you actually have success.”
Another fan shared, “I can’t tell if this is beef or just two friends being goofy, either way I’m here for it.”
A Stenhouse supporter wrote, “I thought you’d be like 33rd but you got Top 20 and be this guy by 10 spots. Solid.”
“Crazy to think everyone believes they got beef,” shared another fan, enjoying the playful back-and-forth.
Stenhouse currently sits in 20th in the NASCAR Cup Series standings with 146 points. Gragson sits 12 places behind him in 32nd with 90 points.
Gragson’s best finish of the season was eighth place at Circuit of the Americas. Stenhouse’s best was a fifth place finish at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Though Gragson isn’t quite threatening for a Cup Series win in 2024, he is a fan favorite through and through. In 2023 and 2024, he was the NASCAR Cup Series All-Star fan vote winner.
