The WTA’s crown jewel event will probably be set in Saudi Arabia.

The WTA has signed a three-year multi-million greenback cope with the Saudi Tennis Federation to host the WTA Finals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The 2024 season-ending WTA Finals will probably be staged in Riyadh November 2-9, that includes the Prime 8 singles gamers and doubles groups within the Race to the WTA Finals.

The WTA’s announcement immediately confirming the transfer of its season-ending occasion to Saudi Arabia ends months of hypothesis and debate from each present and former champions with some supporting the transfer and others adamantly opposed.

The transfer to Riyadh is each a profitable and controversial one.

It means two-season ending tournaments—the WTA Finals and NextGen ATP Finals staged in Jeddah—will probably be staged on Saudi soil beginning this fall.

All this whereas the Saudi-backed Public Funding Fund reportedly has a suggestion on the desk to merge the ATP and WTA into one unified Tour with ATP Chairman Andrea Gaudenzi appointed Commissioner of the unified Tour.

The settlement with the Saudi Tennis Federation will supply document prize cash of $15.25 million on the WTA Finals in 2024 with additional will increase in 2025 and 2026.
