A current rumor was that Los Angeles Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell was desirous about becoming a member of Lithuania’s nationwide crew. Valančiūnas emphasised the necessity for a connection to the nation to take part with any nationwide crew. “They’re going to take me! [Laughs] I’m joking. Truthfully, I don’t have a lot of an opinion about groups looking for gamers. A nationwide crew is a nationwide crew — you want roots, a connection to the nation.
