NEW YORK — Before the historic Times Square boxing event goes down from New York City, Ryan Garcia hit the ring for the open workouts on Tuesday as final preparations begin for the event dubbed Fatal Fury: City of Wolves.

Garcia is making his first appearance since he earned a statement win over Devin Haney that was later overturned to a no-contest due to a failed drug test for a banned substance. Garcia ultimately served a one-year suspension but now he’s back with hopes that a win over Rolly Romero gets him that rematch with Haney.

Meanwhile, Haney is also competing on the same card when he faces Jose Carlos Ramirez with identical stakes on the line as he hopes he can eventually avenge that past fight against Garcia.

Check out the full highlights from Garcia’s open workout ahead of his return on Friday at the event from Times Square in New York City.
