Israel Adesanya’s fists are in fine form ahead of UFC Saudi Arabia.

Fitness influencer Sam McCarthy filmed a video with the two-time UFC middleweight champion in which he volunteered to let Adesanya drill a punch into his liver.

What’s the worst that could happen? See for yourself in the video below.

While it’s almost certain Adesanya didn’t put 100 percent power into his punch, it definitely sounded like the body shot still landed with plenty of impact. To McCarthy’s credit, he appeared to take the punch well, though he’ll likely be feeling that one in the morning.

“Definitely winded,” McCarthy said, while Adesanya noted he could feel “energy travel” along his arm.

Adesanya’s striking skills are on full display this Saturday when he fights Nassourdine Imavov in the middleweight main event. This is a pivotal bout for Adesanya, who has lost two straight and three of his past four, while Imavov looks to make it four straight wins by topping the former UFC champion.
