The competition is strong and determined. His year, then, didn’t begin in the best way possible. McIlroy would like to overtake him but he’s not the only one. Scheffler already won the US Masters in 2022 but he always disappointed afterwards. McIlroy has never won in Augusta, but he seems to be in top shape at the moment and is already eyeing the trophy. The same could be said for Tony Finau, who is playing at an extremely high level and is the true dark horse in this competition.
