Edmen Shahbazyan and Gabriel Bonfim stole the show at UFC Vegas 102.
Saturday’s Fight of the Night award went to a back-and-forth battle between headliners Jared Cannonier and Gregory Rodrigues, but undercard fighters Shahbazyan and Bonfim also earned $50,000 bonuses for their Performance of the Night-winning finishes.
Shahbazyan scored the biggest knockout of the night, needing one good punch to stun Dylan Budka and set him up for a 94-second knockout. It was the fifth first-round finish of Shahbazyan’s UFC career and it earns him his second Performance of the Night bonus.
Bonfim wins his second UFC bonus after capturing a Fight of the Night for a November 2023 loss to Nicolas Dalby. He put a resilient Khaos Williams away on the prelims with an airtight D’Arce choke with seconds remaining in Round 2.
The UFC Vegas 102 headliners delivered as expected, as Cannonier came back from a slow start to finish Rodrigues with strikes early in the fourth round. Cannonier has now won three Fight of the Night bonuses in his past four outings, while Rodrigues also claims his third Fight of the Night bonus since making his UFC debut in 2021.
