Reigning UFC light heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira, will defend his 205-pound title against No. 1-ranked division contender, Magomed Ankalaev, atop the upcoming UFC 313 pay-per-view (PPV) event, recently announced for Sat., March 8, 2025 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ankalaev remains a slight betting favorite.

Veteran referee, Marc Goddard, will be the third man inside the cage on fight night, according to a report from MMA Fighting, with longtime judges Mike Bell, Derek Cleary, and Sal D’Amato getting the nod from Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) to score the action from cageside.

UFC 313 is still working on a new co-main event.

Pereira (12-2) remains undefeated since jumping to light heavyweight in summer 2023, racking up five straight wins with four consecutive knockouts. As for Ankalaev (19-1), he posted a 2-0 (1 NC) record in the wake of his split draw against Jan Blachowicz in late 2022.
