UFC 312 took place at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia and and was headlined by two title fights. Middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis and former titleholder Sean Strickland rematched in the featured fight. Du Plessis retained the title defeating Strickland in all five rounds on two of the judges’ scorecards.
Women’s strawweight titleholder Zhang Weili put her title on the line against undefeated top contender Tatiana Suarez in the co-main event. Weili put on a dominating performance on her way to a unanimous decision victory.
