The Jacksonville Jaguars officially have Travis Hunter under contract, and the two-way star has set a new NFL record with the deal.
Hunter signed his rookie contract with the Jaguars on Sunday. The deal is worth $46.65M, which was predetermined by the rookie wage scale. What is unique about Hunter’s contract is that his entire $30.57M signing bonus is being paid up front.
As ESPN’s Adam Schefter notes, Hunter is the first non-quarterback in NFL history to receive his entire signing bonus up front on a rookie contract.
