Tottenham Hotspur will open talks with Rodrigo Bentancur over a new contract, according to TBR. Bentancur is out of contract at Tottenham in the summer of 2026, with Serie A giants AC Milan keen on a deal for him at the end of the season.
Bentancur has been on the books of Tottenham since January 2022 when he joined from Juventus. The Uruguay international central midfielder has been superb for the North London outfit over the years, and when fit and available, he has been one of the first names on the teamsheet.
The 27-year-old has scored two goals and given one assist in 32 competitive matches for Tottenham so far this season. Bentancur has made a total of 101 appearances for Spurs in his career, scoring nine goals and giving eight assists in the process. Tottenham are 14th in the Premier League table at the moment with 34 points from 29 games.
