Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Eric García from Barcelona in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Girona, Real Sociedad, Real Betis and Como are also keen on a deal for the Spain international central defender.
Garcia has been at Barcelona since 2021 when he joined after leaving Manchester City. The 24-year-old, who can also operate as a defensive midfielder, has scored three goals and provided two assists in 40 appearances for Hansi Flick’s side so far this campaign.
The defender has scored four goals and provided four assists in 110 appearances for Barcelona so far in his career. Barcelona have won the Copa del Rey this season and are four points clear of second-placed and defending champions Real Madrid at the top of the La Liga table. Meanwhile, Tottenham currently find themselves 16th in the Premier League table at the moment with 38 points from 35 matches.
