Alexander Zverev will play for a Munich triple crown tomorrow.
The top-seeded Zverev zapped nine aces in a 7-6(3), 6-3 sweep of Fabian Marozsan to charge into his third Munich final.
Two-time champion Zverev reached his first Munich final since 2018.
It is Zverev’s first final since he succumbed to world No. 1 Jannik Sinner in the Australian Open title match in January.
World No. 3 Zverev will play for a 24th career title and first since winning the Paris Masters last November when he takes on American Ben Shelton in the final.
Earlier, the second-seeded Shelton stopped Francisco Cerundolo 2-6, 7-6(7), 6-4 to reach his fourth career ATP Final at the Munich Open.
The 2024 Houston champion Shelton is the first American man to reach an ATP clay-court final above the 250 level since Andre Agassi won the 2022 Rome championship.
