Tennessee Titans cornerback L’Jarius Sneed is being sued over his alleged involvement in a shooting at a car dealership.

Christian Nshimiyimana, owner of an exotic car rental business, filed a $1M lawsuit against Sneed, claiming that either Sneed or his personal assistant shot at Nshimiyimana at a dealership in December, according to Turron Davenport of ESPN.

Nshimiyimana claimed he was sitting inside a Mercedes-Benz at a dealer lot in Carrollton, Texas, when he was shot at by a passing Lamborghini Urus. No one was struck by any of the bullets.

Per Davenport, attorney Levi McCarthern said Friday in a statement that Sneed and his accomplice were arrested on allegations of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and that Sneed later threatened Nshimiyimana to try to stop him from cooperating with police. It is said to be possible that Sneed and his assistant mistakenly believed Nshimiyimana was someone else.

A police report does exist for the incident, but much of the information within it has been redacted when released to the public. The Titans said in a statement they are aware of the allegations but had no further comment at this time.

Sneed was traded to the Titans from the Kansas City Chiefs last offseason after a contract dispute. The trade was a bust for Tennessee, at least in the first season, as he only played five games last season before landing on injured reserve due to a quad injury.
