In finishing sixth in the MVP vote this season, LeBron James has beaten another Michael Jordan record, becoming the oldest player in NBA history to earn MVP votes. At 40 years old, he’s 13 months older than Jordan was when he finished 13th while playing for the Wizards in 2001-02.

James now holds the distinction of being both the oldest and youngest player in NBA history to receive MVP votes. He also easily owns the record for the largest time gap between first and last MVP votes at 21 years. Tim Duncan ranks second in this category with a 17-year difference.
