Tae Hayes’ short-lived profession with the Jets is over.

The Jets on Monday launched the 26-year-old cornerback at some point after he was arrested early Sunday morning in Alabama on a cost of marijuana possession, based on the Morgan County Sheriff’s Workplace.

After the 5-foot-9, 188-pound Hayes was booked and launched after posting a $300 bond, the Jets launched an announcement saying: “We’re conscious of the state of affairs and we’ll chorus from additional remark, as it’s a pending authorized matter.”

The matter is now not the Jets concern now that they’ve launched him.

Hayes was signed to the apply squad final Oct. 3 and elevated for his or her win over the Eagles in Week 6, recording two tackles.

He initially signed with the Jaguars in 2019 as an undrafted free agent out of Appalachian State and in addition performed for the Dolphins, Panthers, Patriots, Vikings and the Ravens.

Total, he performed in 14 profession video games and has 18 tackles, one fumble restoration and two passes defensed.

He was a star defensive again at Appalachian State after taking part in highschool soccer for Decatur in Alabama and went undrafted in 2019.

Hayes additionally performed for the Birmingham Stallions, now of the United Soccer League. He was a member of the Stallions’ 2022 USFL championship workforce.

He signed a reserve/future contract with the Jets in January and was anticipated to compete for a roster spot.
