The Phoenix Suns continue to have trading for Jimmy Butler as their top objective, sources tell ESPN. This week, the Suns traded their 2031 first round pick to the Utah Jazz for three lower-value first round picks.
The Suns will need to send out Bradley Beal and his no-trade clause in any deal that nets them Butler, which has made constructing a workable trade scenario immensely challenging.
In Butler trade talks, the Miami Heat are seeking some combination of young talent, win-now players, draft capital and salary that expires by the 2026 offseason. The Heat could reassess Butler’s trade market this coming offseason when the mechanisms to a trade become easier.
