Sinner stops Novak in Roland Garros semifinal – Novak Djokovic

Watching golf, we have witnessed the dominance of Tiger Woods for years, a golfer who truly left a lasting mark on the sport. Although his dominance was expected to be much longer, injuries spoiled the plans for this now 49-year-old.

In various debates, many stress that Tiger Woods is the greatest of all time, having no doubts that anyone is close to him. However, such debates often end in arguments and conflicts, and therefore it is not necessary to go deeper into it.

Steve Williams, the New Zealand caddy, reflected on the dominance of Tiger Woods, with a special emphasis on the comparison between Woods and today’s golfers.

Williams revealed which currently active golfer reminds him the most of Tiger Woods. The famous caddy has no doubts that it is Rory McIlroy.

“When I look at Rory, I find him to be a very, very gifted athlete, a guy who works extremely hard on his game. And he strived to get better all the time as well and he works very, very hard and he’s physically – he’s like Tiger from when he came on the tour to now, his body formation and his physical presence is right up there,” he said, as quoted by The Golfing Gazette.

Rory McIlroy and Masters

McIlroy did not make the successes like Woods, but his great game and dominance are really the reason why many believe that McIlroy is very similar to Tiger. William stresses that he is delighted with McIlroy, directing special attention to this year’s Masters.

This is the only Majors that the Northern Irishman lacks in his CW, and the question is whether the media will destroy him again this year, just like countless times before.

“I just admire him as a player. And like everybody, we just hope that he can get over the line at Augusta and join that exclusive grand slam club and then perhaps he can make a significant run to add to his major tally.”- he concluded.
