I never understand those who will never have a bad word to say or even when something so obviously needs calling out, they refuse to do it.
I also don’t understand why they complain about others who do see things and criticise – it’s literally our right as a fan. Excuse me if I’m not going to just ignore the ridiculous things that happen without saying a word. Come off it.
But I’m not Mr. Negative, I’m not just going to do doom and gloom, because there are also many things to be positive about as well. We finished the season strong, won a cup, and are going into the Club World Cup now with some exciting new players added to our squad already, with hopefully more to follow later in this window.
Balance for me will forever be key. I can do both. I can complain and call things out, and I can also be positive and praise where it’s due. I don’t understand why so many people just want to be one way or the other. It’s almost like they just want to ‘take the higher ground’ and claim more intelligence than others.
Anyway, back to the subject at hand. We have some players that I am excited to watch at the CWC that starts next week, and I am buzzing for that.
Mamadou Sarr
Compared a lot to Ibrahima Konate of Liverpool and you can see why. He’s a very good defender and a very competent player. I’m intrigued to see more of him because he is also still quite raw. But the club massively rate him and I think he will prove to be a top signing.
Andrey Santos
Santos has it all, he’s the complete footballer, he can do a bit of everything. Our midfield is now stacked so I do fear a bit about what might happen with Santos because he wants to play regularly as a starter, but I’m buzzing to see him back in our team for now.
Dario Essugo
A very aggressive and battling midfielder who is physical and a real ball winner. My kind of midfielder that! Looking forward to seeing him play for us.
Liam Delap
I need not say much on him, people know what he brings and how much I like him. Can’t wait to see him in CWC action for us!
Although it’s disappointing to see Djordje Petrovic and Kendry Paez not going, I can choose to focus on the players above for this article at least!
