Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is expected to be selected very early in the 2025 NFL draft, perhaps even No. 1 overall.

This week, Sanders, although not a participant in practices or the game, was at the East-West Shrine Bowl, which was held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

AT&T Stadium is the home of the Dallas Cowboys, who hold the 12th pick overall and are not likely to land Sanders in this draft.

But Sanders said something interesting in an interview with Jane Slater of the NFL Network that he might be playing at the stadium as an opposing player.

“Being in this stadium is definitely fun,” Sanders said, via 247Sports. “I know I’ll play here very soon against the Cowboys. But no, it’s definitely a dream come true being able to be at this bowl game, watching my brothers out there, watching my teammates out there. Being a part of this whole thing. I’m just thankful.”

If Sanders is a projected top-10 pick, the only NFC East team with a selection in that range this season are the New York Giants, who pick third overall.

The Giants are out in full force at both the East-West Shine Bowl and the Senior Bowl this week and had positive interactions with Sanders.

The Giants had head coach Brian Daboll, general manager Joe Schoen, assistant general manager Brandon Brown, and assistant director of player personnel Dennis Hickey in attendance to check out Sanders and the other top prospects.

“It was very exciting, and we have a great relationship,” Sanders said of seeing and meeting with the Giants this week. “They definitely showed up plenty of times even to practice. Just seeing the logos and seeing the scouts, it’s very exciting.”

Sanders knows he’s not likely to get past the Giants at No. 3. That is if the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns pass on him with the first two selections.
