Shane Lowry’s family arrived in Bay Hill for the Arnold Palmer Invitational in “glam” style on Friday. The Irishman enjoyed some family moments before heading to the golf course. Lowry received a makeover from his daughters between rounds as he aimed to win the grand prize at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

The 37-year-old was relaxing on a recliner chair while his daughters Iris and Ivy applied various makeover products on his face. Lowry also got a manicure. He was buoyed by the family moment he enjoyed with his daughters and he has been in incredible form at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, where he was in the lead until Sunday. He recorded a second-round score of 67, which took him to the top of the leaderboard in Florida on Saturday.

Lowry’s Strong Start at Bay Hill

Shane Lowry is among the favorites to win the $20 Million PGA Tour event. He has put himself in a commanding position so far despite playing under pressure. Last year, Lowry finished third in this tournament, and he’s hoping to do even better this time. He’s feeling confident and ready for the challenge and Iris and Ivy will be on hand to apply a makeover to his face to make him glow ahead of other rounds. But after he slipped to tied-seventh on Sunday.

Lowry Falls to Third After Struggling Display

Shane Lowry was the halfway leader going into Sunday’s round, but the he fell six shots off the top of the leaderboard after the third round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Lowry started the day with a two-shot advantage, but struggled to an error-strewn 76 at Bay Hill which left him at four under par. The Offaly-born 37-year-old bogeyed the first two holes, however, he rallied and bounced back with birdies on the sixth and seventh, but double bogeys on the 11th and 13th left him with a mountain to climb on Sunday.

Morikawa and Henley Take Advantage

Two-time major champion Collin Morikawa carded a superb 67 to surge to the top of the leaderboard on 10-under-par, a shot ahead of Russell Henley. Henley holed out from a bunker for a birdie on the first and had four more in a row from the 10th as he tied Morikawa’s 67. Morikawa had missed the cut on his last two starts at Bay Hill, but strongly believes he has “more control” over his game as he bids to claim a seventh PGA Tour title.

“I know how to win out here, I’ve done it before but honestly tomorrow, for 18 holes I just have to put it out there every single shot, not get ahead of myself, not think about the past and just be in control of who I am,” Morikawa stated after the round.

Can Lowry Bounce Back?

Lowry will be eager to get his title bid back on track after struggling on Sunday. The Irishman will be hoping Iris and Ivy can work more makeover magic on his face. While his family moments provide a welcome distraction, he knows that he must regain his composure to challenge for the title at Bay Hill.
