Seattle Seahawks first-round decide Byron Murphy II is coping with an off-the-field matter.

Earlier this week, it surfaced by way of social media that the previous Texas defensive lineman was accused by an OnlyFans mannequin of owing them cash. The alleged leaked non-public messages prompted a press release from Murphy’s agent, Ron Slavin, who claims that Murphy was one among a number of NFL gamers focused in a blackmail scheme, and that the NFL and FBI have been notified.

“Not too long ago, my shopper Byron Murphy was the sufferer of an extortion try from a textual content dialog that started and ended on-line,” Slavin’s assertion learn. “He had no contact with this individual. This blackmail scheme has focused different younger gamers within the league.

“We’ve notified the NFL, turned the matter over to the FBI. Anybody concerned on this scheme will likely be prosecuted.”

The Twitter/X account the place the put up originated has since been locked, and the bio now reads “parody ACCOUNT” after beforehand itemizing their Instagram, Snapchat, and OnlyFans accounts.

There was no remark from the Seahawks group or Murphy since Slavin’s assertion.
