Bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley headlines this weekend’s UFC 306 occasion on the Sphere in Las Vegas towards high contender Merab Dvalishvili.  Within the lead-up to the battle, O’Malley has been doing plenty of interviews with varied retailers.  

On Monday, “Suga” appeared on the Pound 4 Pound podcast with Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo.  His look was transient.  After praising Usman and trolling Cejudo, O’Malley abruptly ended the interview.  

“Boys, you guys know that I am a really, very busy man.  I will hold this brief,” O’Malley stated after being launched by Usman.  “I got here right here for 2 causes.  One, reward you Kamaru.  You are an absolute legend, and two, Henry, how did you let Aljo (Aljamain Sterling) take you down really easy?

“You are welcome,” O’Malley stated earlier than abruptly disconnecting from the podcast.  

Cejudo misplaced the bantamweight title to Sterling at UFC 288 in Might 2023.  O’Malley completed Sterling within the first spherical at UFC 293 in August 2023 to seize the 135-pound championship.  

“Hey, he bought us Kamaru.  He did not simply try this to me.  He did that to us,” Cejudo stated when O’Malley exited the present.  “He is trolling us.  He got here on right here simply to do this.”  

If O’Malley loses to Dvalishvili on Saturday, Cejudo believes he and the champion might be on a collision course to satisfy contained in the octagon.  

“As soon as he loses to Merab, as a result of I do consider he’ll lose to Merab, the subsequent battle that is up is me and him,” Cejudo stated.  “The one dude that is actually left in the entire division is myself.  The following smartest thing goes to be me.”
