UFC lightweight veteran, Jared Gordon, successfully made weight for the UFC Vegas 102 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on Sat. night (Feb. 15, 2025) at the promotion’s APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada, tipping the scale at 156 pounds.
Unfortunately, officials were forced to cancel his contest shortly thereafter.
Gordon’s opponent, Mashrabjon Ruziboev, was pulled from the card due to illness prior to weighing in. Ruziboev was a late replacement for Kaue Fernandes, who dropped out earlier this week as a result of travel issues (more on that here).
“Flash” is expected to be paid his “show” purse for showing up on weight.
UFC Vegas 102 will be headlined by the middleweight mashup pitting Jared Cannonier against Gregory Rodrigues. In the UFC Vegas 102 co-main event, Calvin Kattar returns to throw hands with featherweight up-and-comer Youssef Zalal.
