Arsenal and Chelsea have reportedly both met with the representatives of Real Madrid forward Rodrygo Goes as they look to accelerate talks over a summer transfer.

The Brazil international’s future at the Bernabeu looks to be in some doubt after a season which has seen him slightly fall down the pecking order.

There’s a lot of competition in this Madrid squad, and Rodrygo could now do well to continue his career elsewhere.

It seems he’s not going to find himself short of suitors, with Fichajes reporting that there has already been contact from Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City.

Rodrygo is surely good enough to play more regularly for those clubs, so it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City have reportedly all been in touch with Rodrygo’s representatives in a bid to accelerate transfer talks.

The Fichajes report states that the Gunners would ideally like the 24-year-old to come in and play on their left-hand side, giving Mikel Arteta an ideal player to complement Bukayo Saka on the other flank, and Kai Havertz in the middle.

Meanwhile, it’s stated that Chelsea want Rodrygo alongside a new striker like Benjamin Sesko to give them a new-look front three for next season.

Could Rodrygo transfer see Man City duo leave?

Fichajes also suggests that City’s interest in Rodrygo comes as both Jack Grealish and Jeremy Doku could leave the Etihad Stadium this summer.

It would certainly seem pretty fair to say that neither player has been at their best for a while now, so Rodrygo could be an upgrade.

Rodrygo will have a big decision to make, with all three of these clubs sure to be tempting for him as he looks to bounce back after this slightly disappointing spell in his career.

Even in this challenging time, however, Rodrygo has managed an impressive 18 goals and seven assists in all competitions for club and country this season.
