The Houston Rockets are still deciding how to move forward with their $44.9 million team option on Fred VanVleet, sources told Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
Sources add that VanVleet is expected to remain with the Rockets and could simply sign a new deal should the team option get declined.
The Rockets have not signaled to other teams that they are looking for a sign-and-trade deal involving VanVleet should they decline the option.
The two sides pushed back the deadline to decide on the option to June 29.
VanVleet averaged 14.1 points and 5.5 assists last season with the Rockets.
