Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund is understood to be being pursued strongly by clubs in Serie A this summer.
Sources with connections to the agents industry have informed CaughtOffside that Hojlund has been one of the top targets for Napoli as they look for a new striker this summer.
However, it is also our understanding that Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez may now have overtaken Hojlund as the priority if a deal can be struck with the Premier League champions.
Hojlund has also been considered by Napoli, and high-up source told us: “Hojlund is a target personally requested by Antonio Conte. He would be excited about the prospect of working under Conte and sharing a dressing room with names like Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne.”
Who else is in the race for Rasmus Hojlund?
It could be that Napoli will end up intensifying efforts to sign Hojlund if they cannot reach an agreement with Liverpool for Nunez.
For now, however, the Denmark international could also have numerous other offers available to him, even if it’s nothing that concrete yet.
Juventus and Inter Milan are both keeping an eye on Hojlund’s situation, while Bundesliga duo RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt have also been monitoring him.
CaughtOffside understands Man United could let Hojlund go for around €45m.

It could be a busy summer of both ins and outs at Old Trafford, with Hojlund not the only big name who’s available.
Alejandro Garnacho and Andre Onana also look like names to watch, while it’s also highly unlikely that returning loanees Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Jadon Sancho will have any kind of role in Ruben Amorim’s side.
United fans will hope that a decent amount of cash raised from player sales can help the club make more signings of their own to follow up the recent arrival of Matheus Cunha.
