Real Madrid are ready to cut their ties with David Alaba in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The LaLiga giants have become frustrated with the defender’s injury issues and are willing to offload him at the end of the season.
Alaba joined Madrid in the summer of 2021 as a free agent after leaving German powerhouse Bayern Munich. Much was expected of the Austria international when he moved to the Santiago Bernabeu, but he has often been injured. The 32-year-old has been able to make only 116 appearances for Los Blancos so far in his career, scoring five goals and providing nine assists in the process.
The defender earns more than €22 million per year gross as salary at Madrid, and this will make it difficult for them to find another club for him. Los Blancos, though, are willing to accept between €5 million and €8 million for the former Bayern Munich star. Madrid are second in LaLiga and will face Barcelona in the final of the Copa del Rey this weekend.
