Real Madrid are interested in signing Bruno Fernandes from Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Star. It has been reported that the reigning Spanish and European champions are planning to make a £90 million bid for the Portugal international attacking midfielder.
Madrid reportedly see Fernandes as a replacement for Luka Modric. The Croatian midfielder is 39 years of age and is out of contract at Los Blancos at the end of the season. Even if the former Tottenham Hotspur star signs a new deal with Madrid, the Spanish powerhouse still need to find a long-term replacement for him.
The Daily Star has reported that Madrid have been scouting Fernandes in recent Man United matches, both at home and away. The European giants have been impressed with the 30-year-old and plan to make an offer. Although Man United manager Ruben Amorim does not want his star midfielder to leave, the Red Devils could sell him because of financial reasons.
