Rams Select Jarquez Hunter & 3 Others On Day 3 Of 2025 NFL Draft

The Los Angeles Rams added four players in Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft, making trades to add draft capital to next year’s arsenal while still getting some talent that they like from this class.

The first trade the Rams made on Day 3 was one to move up amid a run on running backs. They traded away picks 127 and 190 to the Indianapolis Colts to move up 10 spots — to 117 — and select running back Jarquez Hunter out of Auburn. Hunter recorded 1,201 rushing yards on an SEC-best 6.4 yards per attempt. He had 1,356 all-purpose yards in 2024, his senior season.

The Rams traded up again for their next pick. They sent pick 195 and a 2026 fourth-round draft pick to the Chicago Bears to move up to No. 148. Losing a fourth-round pick next year is a high value for a fifth-round pick, so the Rams must feel very strongly about their pick at 148.

They landed Ohio State defensive tackle Ty Hamilton with that selection. The national champion recorded 51 tackles — six for loss — with 3.5 sacks on the year. He forced a fumble and had a fumble recovery, and is known as a relatively speedy downhill pass rusher and run stuffer.

The Rams traded up once again for their next pick. They sent picks No. 201 and 202 to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for No. 172. With that pick, they selected Mississippi linebacker Chris Paul Jr.

Paul pent his senior season at Ole Miss and his first three years at Arkansas. And he did a little bit of everything in his fourth college campaign, recording 88 total tackles, 11 for loss, 3.5 sacks, four pass deflections, one interception and a fumble recovery.

He is considered undersized for his position at 224 pounds, but makes up for it with incredible instincts and athleticism.

The Rams final pick of the night was one of the last picks in the draft. They received pick No. 242 as part of the Day 1 deal with the Atlanta Falcons that netted them Atlanta’s 2026 first round pick, along with No. 46, tight end Terrance Ferguson.

With that pick, they went offense as well, selecting Pitt wide receiver Konata Mumpfield. The four-year receiver from Pitt was very consistent during his college career. He had 813 receiving yards in his senior campaign, but never had a season below 550 yards.

Rams Day 2 Draft Picks

The Rams selected Ferguson out of Oregon and Michigan edge rusher Josaiah Stewart on Day 2, with the No. 46 and No. 90 overall picks. L.A. added on both sides of the ball during this draft while adding premium draft capital in 2026 courtesy of the Falcons.
