The Las Vegas Raiders selected Ashton Jeanty sixth overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, and the fan base is excited about what he will bring to this team. Last season, the Raiders had the worst rushing attack in the NFL, so Jeanty should immediately improve that area.
The Raiders are looking to turn this franchise around and get back into the postseason, and the fans are looking for the same. Jeanty will play a big role in that, and the fan base believes that, as his jersey is already flying off the shelves.
According to Dominic Minchella of Sports Illustrated, Jeanty’s Raiders jersey is the fourth highest of all rookies coming out of the NFL Draft:
Already popular within the NFL and the Raider Nation, Jeanty’s name being placed on the back of a Raider jersey has several fans excited, so much so that they have already gone out to buy one. Jeanty will be represented on hundreds of fans’ backs next season in Las Vegas.
In fact, out of all the new rookies entering the league, Jeanty has the fourth highest jersey sales, trailing Shedeur Sanders of the Cleveland Browns, Cam Ward of the Tennessee Titans, and Travis Hunter of the Jacksonville Jaguars. This news was originally published by OfficialNFLShop on Instagram.
Jeanty’s ranking should come as no surprise. His status as the Heisman Trophy runner-up in 2024, along with the passion of the Raiders’ fan base, makes for a great combination in terms of jersey sales. He was one of the biggest names in college football last season, and for good reason, as he rushed for the second-most yards in a single season in college football history.
Now with the Raiders, he looks to be one of the cornerstones of this new offense, along with quarterback Geno Smith and All-Pro tight end Brock Bowers. There is a lot of confidence that he will be a big part of this franchise’s turnaround, and the fans are clearly already behind him.
Ashton Jeanty reveals when he knew Raiders would draft him
Before the start of the 2025 NFL Draft, Ashton Jeanty to the Raiders was a popular selection in mock drafts, and even Jeanty himself had a feeling he would be a part of the silver and black.
At his introductory press conference, Jeanty called back to an interview that Raiders GM John Spytek gave, in which he revealed that his son had told him he would leave the family if the Raiders hadn’t drafted Jeanty. The Raiders’ new star said he knew he would be part of the franchise once he saw that.
