Punjab Kings (PBKS) will be up against the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 66th match of IPL 2025. This article provides details about the Punjab Kings’ Playing 11 vs Delhi Capitals for match 66 of IPL 2025.

Punjab Kings Playing 11 vs Delhi Capitals- IPL 2025, Match 66:

Openers: Prabhsimran Singh (wk) and Priyansh Arya

Like they have done in the entire season, PBKS will open the innings with the young duo of Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya.

The pair has been able to provide an attacking start to the team in the season so far and will look to do the same against DC.

Prabhsimran Singh, the wicketkeeper batter who is the leading run scorer for PBKS in the ongoing season, will look to put on another strong performance.

Priyansh, on the other hand, has fulfilled the role of playing with an aggressive intent in the first six overs for the team and has provided the platform to the incoming batters to build on that.

Having said that, the openers have taken calculated risks and have not gone for wild slogging in the powerplay.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Shreyas Iyer (c), Mitchell Owen, Nehal Wadhera, Shashank Singh, Azmatullah Omarzai, Suryansh Shedge

PBKS will be concerned about the fitness of their captain, Shreyas Iyer, who batted with an injured finger in the previous game against RR.

Iyer did not take the field in the second innings of the same game, and it was Shashank who captained the side in his absence.

Punjab Kings would hope for Iyer to regain his fitness before the all-important playoffs, as he is an integral part of the team as a batter and as a leader.

If Iyer is not able to recover in time, Punjab Kings will have the option of bringing in Musheer Khan, who impressed everyone with his strokeplay in the 2024 Under-19 World Cup.

In such a case, the onus will be on Nehal Wadhera to guide the team to a match-winning total while batting first.

It would be interesting to see if PBKS stick with the move of sending Mitchell Owen at number three, as the batter failed to make a contribution against RR.

Bowlers: Arshdeep Singh, Marco Jansen, Xavier Bartlett, Yuzvendra Chahal

Punjab Kings’ leading wicket-taker in the current edition, Arshdeep Singh, will be itching to get things right in the next game against DC after a below-par outing against RR.

Having said that, Arshdeep would hope to get good support from other bowlers like Xavier Batrlett.

Jansen, on the other hand, will look to continue the good work he has done in the season so far in all three phases of the innings, along with Afghan all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai.

Omarzai did a fine job with the ball while defending a big score for the Punjab Kings in the last game.

PBKS will rely on Yuzvendra Chahal to handle the team’s spin bowling department like he has done in the last few matches.
