Manchester United will be without Patrick Dorgu for today’s FA Cup tie against Fulham as he begins his three-match suspension following a straight red card against Ipswich in midweek.

The defence

The Dane’s place will almost certainly be taken by Noussair Mazraoui, who head coach Ruben Amorim had tried to rest in that game but who was pressed into action following the sending off.

Mazraoui may play at right wing back, with Diogo Dalot switching to the left.

The back three will probably be unchanged, with Matthijs de Ligt on the right, Harry Maguire in the middle and Leny Yoro on the left.

Victor Lindelof is another option.

As far as we know, Altay Bayindir is still injured so Andre Onana is likely to continue in goal.

Midfield and attack

Alejandro Garnacho has suffered a knock but Amorim said in the press conference he should be fit. However, we think Christian Eriksen might be given a run out in one of the twin 10 positions or in midfield alongside Manu Ugarte, with Bruno Fernandes taking the other role.

Garnacho could then be kept in cotton wool and used as an impact sub if necessary.

Rasmus Hojlund will probably continue up top, with Josh Zirkzee the other 10.

Chido Obi was not included in the FA Youth Cup match against Arsenal on Friday so will be on the bench at least. Amorim may even surprise everyone and replace one Danish striker with another.

Luke Shaw, Jonny Evans, Lisandro Martinez, Mason Mount and Amad are all injured.

Here, then, is our predicted line-up for the match, with Obi potentially replacing Hojlund:

Kick-off at Old Trafford is at 4.30pm GMT.
