A police investigation has been launched following an incident that left a supporter with a reduce above his eye in an alleged altercation with Jonny Hill after Tub’s Premiership playoff win over Sale on the Recreation Floor on Saturday.

The 28-year-old supporter reported the incident to Avon and Somerset police, who confirmed that an investigation is below means. Hill, who performs for Sale however is sidelined by damage, was watching the match from close to the press field alongside the Sharks’ coaches.

On Saturday, Sale stated they’d be conducting their very own investigation whereas the Rugby Soccer Union is chatting with the Sharks and Tub earlier than deciding on its plan of action. The supporter, who doesn’t want to be named, stated after the incident: “I used to be sitting there, and he got here down the steps, grabbed me across the throat, snapped my sun shades and reduce the highest of my eye.
