Today Match Prediction-HBH vs RR-Dream11-GSL T20-2025-5th Match-Who Will Win

In the PGA Tour we have many athletes who put their all into competition, and the season as a whole. With that understanding, is the ability to take a deeper insight into all that is able to keep the train going for athletes in their road to success. A big part of that equation that sometimes goes without notoriety, is the everlasting support and reality for the caddies in golf. One in particular atop the totem pole is Ted Scott, the prestigious caddie of Scottie Scheffler. Not only is Scott considered to be the most decorated caddie, he has also made history surpassing numerous athletes in his career earnings.

How Did Caddie Ted Scott Make the Top 25 Earners on the PGA Tour?

Scottie Scheffler handling business

In the course of the career as a caddie for Scott, he has been able to accomplish some impressive things. The accomplishments and big paydays for Scott, do not come unless Scheffler handles his business on his end. Something that was almost automatic during the 2024 season, as Scheffler did more than hold up his end with nine season wins at the Masters and even his first ever FedEx Cup victory. Not missing a single cut during the season, the stout Scheffler had his biggest winnings of $25 million at the Tour Championship. A hefty number for the prize, although in the entirety of 2024 Scheffler totaled in $55,228,358. That number was by far in the lead out of all athletes during the season, but it most importantly meant heavy pockets for his caddie.

Ted Scott’s Earnings in 2024

What a big season of winning meant for Scott, was the ability to now make a worthwhile income while doing one of the things he loved most. It is reported that the majority of all player and caddie payments have a similar breakdown. 10 percent of winnings following a win, seven percent for a top 10 finish, and five perfect for a made cut. Being that Scheffler won nine times and managed to make every cut during the season, his result was a big payout in the end.

It can be estimated that as a caddie he made $5.4 million during the 2024 season, putting that into perspective by realizing the PGA Tour average earnings were  only $2,109,985. Scott more than doubled that all by providing assistance to Scheffler and company. Not only did Scott’s earnings in 2024 make him the highest paid caddie in quite some time, he made more than some of the most notable athletes in competition like Justin Thomas, Adam Scott, and Viktor Hovland.

More than just a job

The reality of Scott and caddies alike Bryan Kopsick who had reported on-course earnings of 149,000 in 2024, is that they can make a more than respectable living when the athlete is playing up to their best ability. The job of a caddie is more than just walking side by side with the athlete, it is the 24/7 dedication put in to make sure the environment is set for the best performance possible. Not only do caddies play a pivotal part in the live action, but behind the scenes they can be mental and emotional support during a long season of competitions and time away from family. Headed into this 2025 season of play for Scheffler and Scott, big payouts are expected to come about again and continue the history made by a caddie in the sport.
