14 NBA FIRST-ROUND DRAFT PICKS ARE NAISMITH BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME EVENT ALUMNI

This is my fifth year attending the Pangos All American Camp, the brainchild of grassroots empresario Dinos Trigonis, and it’s one of the top individual showcase camps in the country.

Held at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, the 2026 edition of the NBA certified camp started out well. Of course, I wasn’t able to watch every game happening and I didn’t look at the stats Trigonis provides. This is a straight eye-ball evaluation recap from WHAT I SAW. Let’s get to it!

Christian Collins Was Playing The PartThe St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) forward gets evaluated a lot and deservingly so. A Top 3 level player in 2026 and has tremendous upside. He played like it on Sunday. His motor stood out as he was chasing to win 50/50 balls, offensive rebounds and put effort on the defensive end. Offensively, he showed off more of his shot creating. Really utilized hesitation dribbles and changed direction well to get to his spots. I don’t know what his stats were, but Collins’ motor and showcasing upside/promise of his off-the-dribble game stood out to me.

O’Neal Delancy Was On FireO’Neal Delancy go Gibbs (St. Petersburg, Fla.) was arguably the best 2027 performer I saw on Sunday. Made about four triples in his only game, but it’s how he sprints to spots to get open that was impressive. Relocates and works hard to get open. Delancy is play finisher as a spot-up threat that also showed balance as a primary ball-handler & decision maker.

Slim Rogers Got A Lot DoneThe 2026 class in California is loaded, even with Alijah Arenas classing up and off to college. Tyran Sokes, Christian Collins, Tahj Ariza, Jason Crowe, and the list goes on. Guard Slim Rogers of Centennial (Corona, Calif.) has had a great spring and summer in his own right on the Puma Pro16 League with BTI and had a fine showing on Sunday. He’s a scoring guard that utilizes strength and is savvy on drives. Gets to the foul line, a streaky shooter but confident and has a short memory. Really like Slim’s overall game and translates well at the next level.

Chris Washington & Demarcus Henry Had Their MomentsUpside gets brought up a lot but two players with very high ceilings are 2026 Chris Washington at Providence Christian Academy (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) and 2027 DeMarcus Henry of Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.). Washington, at 6’8, moves well, has a functional handle, long arms and is a big-time athlete. He can make plays that only a few in the 2026 class can and he shows it in spurts. His best basketball is ahead of him if he can keep polishing up skill-set and keep the motor running.

Same thing with Henry. A potential 5-star caliber player that holds good position size, athleticism and shooting prowess. Henry made plays that wowed me yesterday, but sometimes elects to take questionable shots/decisions. He’s someone I’m keeping tabs of more going forward. He has a lot of tools and a promising skill set.

More From Pangos: Players Of Note

Maximo Adams, 2026 6’7 SF – Sierra Canyon (CA)He stayed in attack mode. Athletic wing prospect with multiple ways to finish around the rim. With power, with finesse, Maxi’s touch stood out. A physical driver that embraces contact and can hit open perimeter shots when open. His plus rebounding instincts, drive game and finishing touch made him one of the best performers from Sunday.

Preston Wade, 2026 6’9 C – IMG (FL)Has been impressive in the UAA Circuit and has had a good showing in Vegas. Bouncy, skinny big that is a put-back threat and vertical spacer.

Bryson Howard, 2026 6’5 SF/SG – Frisco Heritage (TX)Lefty, power wing who is the son of former NBA’er Josh Howard. Athletic, made above the rim plays and has grown as a shooter and decision maker when attacking closeouts

Joseph Stroughter, 2026 6’1 PG – Democracy Prep (NV)PG with good basketball frame and what stood out most was his passing. Really dotted guys on outlet passes and in the half-court. Knows how to play and was able to get to the rim when looking to score.

Branden Sharpe, 2028 6’3 CG – Westminister Academy (FL)First time watching Sharpe and he popped out to me. A rising sophomore with burst and is a downhill threat. Made plays above the rim when given space on drives but just overall impressed with his ability to surpass defenders off the bounce.

Manny Green, 2026 6’6 SF – Ellanwood (GA)Explosive athlete that’s versatile as a leaper. Can knock down the trey ball and has nice touch on pull-up middy’s.

Asher Elson, 2026 6’9 PF – OTE (GA)Rangy 4-man that’s intriguing. Tall, skinny and made a few spot up threes. Will need to get stronger, but guys of his size and shooting touch is always worth noting.

Dylan Jones, 2027 6’7 SF – Bartlett (TN)Speaking of intriguing, Jones is a power wing that’s a good two-foot vertical leaper. Showed versatility as an offensive threat and really competed on the glass and on defense. One to watch going forward this camp.

Christian Gibson 2026 6’4 SG – Mayde Creek (TX)Southpaw scoring guard that did just that on Sunday. Good pull-up shooter that’s confident taking tough shots and he makes them.

Trey Beamer, 2026 6’1 PG – IMG (FL)One of the top scorers in the EYBL and showed off his scoring prowess at Pangos. Dependable pull-up shooter that’s confident, changes direction well off the bounce and operates well as a bucket getter coming off ball-screens.

Aidan Derkack, 6’5 SG – Colonia (NJ)Two-guard with deep range on the jumper and some game with the off-bounce creating. Really good as a second side scorer and was a good ball-mover, too. Knows how to play and just always gets stuff done every time I see him.
