The Denver Nuggets are not renewing the contracts of assistant coaches Ryan Saunders, Popeye Jones, Charles Klask and Stephen Graham. Their contracts are set to expire at the season. All four assistants were part of the Nuggets’ championship in 2023.
The Nuggets fired Michael Malone on the eve of the playoffs and have hired David Adelman as head coach on a permanent basis. Adelman will be able to put his own coaching staff in place now.
Saunders was previously a head coach with the Minnesota Timberwolves before joining Malone’s staff with the Nuggets.
