The Roland Garros organizers revealed the main draw for the season’s second Grand Slam on Thursday afternoon. The tournament will take place in the French capital from May 25 to June 8.
World No. 6, seeded sixth in Paris, will open his campaign against 30-year-old American Mackenzie McDonald (USA), currently ranked No. 99 in the ATP rankings. The two have never faced each other on tour.
Novak, the all-time leader with 24 Grand Slam titles, could face the winner of the match between Corentin Moutet (FRA) and a qualifier in the second round.

First-round matches at the French Open will be played across the opening three days of the tournament — Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
Twelve months ago, Novak withdrew from the tournament prior to his quarterfinal clash due to a knee injury.
This will be Djokovic’s 21st appearance at Roland Garros, where he has lifted the trophy three times — in 2016, 2021, and 2023.
