Milestone win for Nole at the French Open!

Novak Djokovic is through to the quarter-finals of the Rolland Garros after another straight-set victory.

The three-time champion defeated Cameron Norrie following a dominant display, 6-2, 6-3, 6-2.

This win was not just another step forward – it was a historic moment. It marked Novak’s 100th victory on the clay courts of Paris, and 100 wins at a major event for the first time in his standout career.

Compared to the recent match between the two in Geneva, this one looked completely different. From the start, Novak was in full control, setting the pace and not giving Norrie any real chances – unlike last time, when he had to fight hard for the win.

Novak started strong, breaking Norrie’s serve in the second game for a 2-0 lead. Norrie broke back right away, but Novak quickly took back control by breaking again in the fourth game. He kept pushing and sealed the first set 6-2 in just 44 minutes.

The second set started rough – Novak lost his serve without winning a point. But he bounced back quickly, breaking the Brit in the fourth game. He got the crucial break in the eighth game on his fifth chance and won the set 6-3 after 57 minutes.

In the third set, Novak was simply too strong – solid on serve, aggressive on return, and he broke Norrie twice (in the third and fifth games) to finish the match in style.

The match lasted two hours and 14 minutes.

Next up for Novak is no.3 seed Alexander Zverev, in the quarter-finals on Wednesday.

Zverev advanced after Dutch player Tallon Griekspoor had to retire with an injury. Zverev was leading 6-4, 3-0 when the match ended.

Novak leads Zverev 8-5 in their previous matchups. They last met in the semi-finals of this year’s Australian Open, but Novak had to retire after the first set due to a thigh injury.
