Nole will play for his 100th career title this Saturday at 15:00 CET in Geneva.

Novak Djokovic earned his spot in the championship match after beating Britain’s Cameron Norrie 6-4, 6-7 (6), 6-1 in a clash that lasted two hours and 14 minutes.

In the first set, Novak showed excellent form and strong serving, just as he has throughout the tournament. Although he missed a break chance in the fourth game, he converted another opportunity in the seventh game and held the lead from there. Norrie didn’t get a single break point and only won two points on Novak’s serve. With 13 winners and just two unforced errors, Novak wrapped up the set in 38 minutes.

In the second set, Novak’s level dropped slightly, and Norrie took advantage to break serve in the fourth game. Ranked 90th in the world and a qualifier in the main draw, Norrie had a chance to win the set at 5-4. But Novak stepped up, broke back, and levelled the score at 5-5. The set went to a tie-break, where the Brit made fewer mistakes and took it 8-6, even though Novak had a match point at 6-5.

In the deciding set, Novak shifted into a higher gear and dominated this part of the contest completely. He broke Norrie early, raced to a 3-0 lead, and then sealed the deal with another break for 5-1.

Novak will face the sixth seed Hubert Hurkacz in the Gonet Geneva Open final.

The Polish player defeated Sebastian Ofner in straight sets – 6-3, 6-4.

This will be the eighth match between Djokovic and Hurkacz. Novak has won all seven of their previous meetings and will aim to keep that perfect record and claim his 100th title.
