Nole moved within one win of capturing his 100th tour-level title and a record-breaking seventh Miami Open trophy!
Fourth seed Novak Djokovic dispatched no.14 seed Grigor Dimitrov 6-2, 6-3 in 70 minutes on Friday to advance into a record-extending 60th Masters 1000 final.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion broke four times from six opportunities, while his opponent converted one of his two chances for break.
“As far as my game goes, again, serve was definitely the highlight of the match,” Djokovic said in his on-court interview. “I’ve been serving really well and hopefully I can continue in the same fashion because that definitely makes my life easier on the court.”
Match stats: aces (5-3), double faults (1-3), winners (10-14), unforced errors (5-32), total points won (54-34).
In the Miami Open presented by Itau title match, on Sunday at 21:00 CET, Novak faces Taylor Fritz (USA, 3, H2H 10-0) or rising star Jakub Mensik (CZE, H2H 1-0).
