The wait is over, folks. The 2025 NFL Draft is finally upon us.
The Seattle Seahawks hold 10 total picks in this year’s draft, the first of which is at 18th overall.
The first round of the draft will begin at 5 p.m. PDT, with live coverage on ABC, ESPN, and NFL Network. Provided that the Seahawks do not trade out of the 18th draft position, they should be picking around 7:10 p.m.
Time of announcement for No. 18 pick over the last three years:
At the time of this writing, offensive lineman is the betting favorite position for Seattle to take 18th overall. If the Seahawks were to go in this direction, North Dakota State offensive lineman Grey Zabel and Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell could be good options to consider.
Odds to be the position of the Seahawks’ first drafted player via FanDuel Sportsbook:
Offensive lineman (-120)
Wide receiver (+390)
Tight end (+550)
Defensive lineman/edge (+900)
Safety (+950)
Linebacker (+1800)
Cornerback (+1800)
Quarterback (+1800)
Running back (+12000)
Unsurprisingly, offensive line is the top odds with wide receiver not too far behind given the departures of DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. If a tight end is taken, it could be Michigan’s Colston Loveland.
No matter which position Seattle winds up gravitating towards with the No. 18 pick, John Schneider is excited about the possibilities at hand tonight.
“It’s exciting,” Schneider said during his pre-draft press conference on Monday. “We were in there yesterday afternoon staring at (the draft board) for a while. It’s fun. There’s a lot of room for activity. It just provides us with more opportunities to either just stay and pick good players, or maneuver around.”
