Newcastle United have officially entered the race to sign Italian international Moise Kean, with the Magpies eager to outpace Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur for the Fiorentina striker’s signature this summer.

According to Calciomercato, the Tyneside club have already made contact with Kean’s representatives as they look to bolster their attacking options ahead of the 2025/26 season. The 25-year-old forward currently has a €52 million release clause in his Fiorentina contract—an amount Newcastle, Arsenal, and Spurs are reportedly capable of matching.

Moise Kean: From Misfire to Serie A Sensation

Once a Juventus prodigy whose promise fizzled amid loan spells and inconsistency, Kean has roared back into form since joining Fiorentina last summer. The explosive frontman has racked up 22 goals and 3 assists in 36 appearances this season, reigniting interest from Europe’s elite.

His clinical displays in Serie A have caught the attention of Premier League giants, with Arsenal and Tottenham circling as they seek a reliable goal scorer.

Premier League Trio Battle for Kean

Arsenal’s search for firepower is no secret, with both Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz failing to deliver consistently. Moise Kean fits the bill and could be a smart long-term investment at €52 million.

Tottenham, too, are eyeing reinforcements after Dominic Solanke’s injury woes left Ange Postecoglou short up front. Meanwhile, Newcastle are preparing for life after Callum Wilson, and Eddie Howe sees Kean as a prime candidate to lead the line at St. James’ Park.

With all three clubs financially equipped to meet Kean’s price tag and wage demands, this transfer saga could become one of the most intriguing battles of the summer. Will Newcastle’s early move give them the edge?
