Newcastle United are interested in signing Douglas Luiz from Juventus in the summer transfer window, according to TuttoJuve. The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that Newcastle are eyeing a move for the former Aston Villa midfielder in case Bruno Guimaraes leaves for Manchester City.
Defending Premier League champions Man City are looking to sign a new goalkeeper in the summer transfer window and reportedly ready to bid €70 million for Newcastle and Brazil international midfielder Guimaraes. If the Magpies are forced to sell their star midfielder, then they will look to replace him with Luiz.
Luiz joined Juventus from Premier League club Villa in the summer of 2024. Much was expected of the Brazilian star when he joined the Bianconeri, but he has failed to make a massive impact and has struggled to play week in and week out in the starting line-up.
