According to Calciomercato, Newcastle have made contact with the representatives of Fiorentina striker Moise Kean with a view of a potential transfer to St. James’s Park this summer.
As for Fiorentina, the stance of president Rocco Commisso is that the club would like the 25-year-old to stay put and the squad to be built around him, but every significant offer for his services would be carefully considered, nonetheless. Kean has a release clause set at €52 million in his contract which otherwise runs until the summer of 2029, widely considered as within reach for many European clubs.
With 22 goals and three assists in 36 matches across all competitions, the Italy international has been on fine form this season, and his exploits have indeed attracted the attention of a number of potential suitors. Apart from Newcastle, who might be on the lookout for potential replacements for Alexander Isak, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Napoli, AC Milan and Barcelona are also believed to be monitoring the situation closely.
