“They Better Book Me Before October”

Nate Diaz exited the Russian reality show “ALF Reality,” which he was coaching along side UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones, after getting into a physical altercation with a contestant on the show.

“ALF Reality” is a Russian version of The Ultimate Fighter. Former UFC champions Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan coached the previous season of the show. Diaz and Jones filled those roles for this season.

Diaz’ longtime teammake Jake Shields was on hand and documented the incident on video and posted it to social media on Wednesday.

The altercation began during introductions when a contestant got in Diaz’ face. The two exchanged words and the contestant appeared to try to put his hands on the UFC veteran. Moments later, Diaz slapped him escalating the situation. Punches were thrown and chaos broke out.

Shields narrated the video explaining what took place. Following the incident, Diaz left the show and abruptly flew back home to California despite efforts by the production team to have him continue filming.

“Why are we going to go back and film a show — it’s one thing to be fighting the fighters, that’s why I went out there with Nate, I thought it was a possibility some of these fighters will try to test him — but when you have potentially the crew hitting you too, it’s like no, f*ck that,” Shields said.
