2025 Jerry Colangelo Classic Matchups

Saturday, December 6 | PHX Arena

“It’s always special to have the Jerry Colangelo Classic return to Phoenix, a city that has meant so much to me personally and professionally,” said Jerry Colangelo, Chairman of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. “Bringing Grand Canyon and Arizona State back to this stage not only celebrates the local basketball community but also allows fans to see great college matchups in a building where I’ve been fortunate to experience so many great memories. It’s a meaningful event for the Valley and one I’m proud to have my name on.”

Arizona State and Grand Canyon return to the Jerry Colangelo Classic after delivering a high-energy matchup in last year’s Hall of Fame Series event at PHX Arena. The game showcased the passion of both fan bases, who brought a spirited, back-and-forth atmosphere that elevated the experience for all in attendance.

“The Jerry Colangelo Classic continues to be a signature event in the Valley’s basketball calendar, and we’re honored to carry on that tradition,” said Melissa Meacham-Grossman, President of Position Sports. “Bringing together Arizona State, Grand Canyon, and two strong Big 12 programs in Oklahoma and Oklahoma State creates a dynamic doubleheader that celebrates Jerry Colangelo’s lasting impact on the game and the city.”

Fans can sign up for presale information now at HOFSeries.com. Further details regarding ticketing, game times, broadcast coverage, and media credentials for the event will be shared at a later date.

The Hall of Fame Series, owned and operated by Valley-based Position Sports, is a premier collection of multi-game, singular events that feature top collegiate basketball programs in high-profile non-conference matchups played both domestically and abroad. Quotes from Head Coaches:

“One of our highlights on the calendar every season is the opportunity to play in downtown Phoenix, and we’re excited to return this season. The experience of playing in an NBA venue is incredible. We are excited to play against a program we respect like Oklahoma State and bring our students and fans downtown for the day. Tying it all together and playing in an event with Mr. Colangelo’s namesake and involvement adds an extra layer of importance for our program and university. We can’t wait for December.”

Bryce Drew | Grand Canyon

“Jerry Colangelo has made a lasting impact on the game at every level, and it’s an honor to take part in an event that bears his name. This is a great opportunity for our guys to compete in an NBA arena and challenge themselves against a strong non-conference opponent. We’re looking forward to a high-level game in front of a great crowd.”
