SPRINGFIELD, MASS. (June 30, 2025) – Today the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announces its annual summer programming, a series of events designed to inspire the area’s youth and enrich family entertainment through the lens of basketball. The Hall of Fame turns up the heat this summer with family fun for all ages. Its inspirational speaker series “Hoophall Hangouts” will feature Hall of Famers, youth basketball skill clinics, book signings, and performances that celebrate the culture of basketball.
The lineup of events tip off with an exciting first week, beginning July 3 with a book signing by the University of Kansas Sportscaster and author Brian Hanni for his latest release, Game Maker, followed by a youth basketball skills clinic led by WinsForLife Athletics. On July 8, Class of 2025 inductee and current Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan will make a special virtual appearance. Former NBA player, Class of 2024 Hall of Famer Michael Cooper will join in-person on July 11, and fellow Class of 2024 Hall of Famer, former WNBA player Seimone Augustus will be appearing on July 24. With more appearances to be announced, the programming series will continue throughout the summer and conclude at the end of August.

The Hall’s summer programming comes at no extra charge to all ticketed museum guests. With a wide range of entertainment and interactive experiences, guests will have unique opportunities to develop skills, engage with top athletes, and celebrate the game of basketball. Game Maker Book Signing (7/3)Brian Hanni, the voice of the Kansas Jayhawks and author of the inspirational children’s book Game Maker, will be at the Basketball Hall of Fame for a special book signing. Wins4Life (7/3) (7/7) (8/19)WINS For Life clinics at the Basketball Hall of Fame teach basketball fundamentals and life skills, inspiring young athletes and coaches both on and off the court.
Billy Donovan (7/8)Billy Donovan, the celebrated former Florida Gators head coach who led his teams to back‑to‑back NCAA championships in 2006 and 2007 before transitioning to the NBA, has been named to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2025 and will make a special virtual appearance at the Hall of Fame to share his insights on leadership and coaching at the highest level.
Michael Cooper (7/11)Meet Michael Cooper, the legendary Showtime Lakers’ lockdown defender and 1987 NBA Defensive Player of the Year, who was officially enshrined into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame during the Class of 2024 induction ceremony in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Seimone Augustus (7/24)Meet Seimone Augustus, a four-time WNBA champion, 2011 Finals MVP, and Olympic gold medalist, who was officially enshrined into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2024, honoring her trailblazing career and lasting impact on women’s basketball.
Harlem Triksterz (7/28)Harlem Triksterz, the high-flying freestyle basketball performance crew led by Kevin “Showboat” Jackson, dazzle visitors with their signature trick shots and charisma during a special appearance at the Basketball Hall of Fame, bringing energy and entertainment to fans of all ages.
