24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic continues his clay court season at the Mutua Madrid Open, an ATP Masters 1000 event, taking place from April 23 to May 4.
The Serbian star is no.4 seed and will open his campaign at La Caja Mágica in the second round against either Matteo Arnaldi (ITA) or a qualifier.
Novak’s potential rivals in the later stages of the tournament are:

Alexander Zverev (GER, 1), Taylor Fritz (USA, 3), Andrey Rublev (RUS, 7), Holger Rune (DEN, 8), Daniil Medvedev (RUS, 9) … are in the opposite half of the draw and Novak can’t meet them before the final.
This will be Novak’s first appearance at the tournament since 2022, when he lost to Carlos Alcaraz in a final-set tie-break in the semi-finals.
Djokovic owns a 30-9 record at the Mutua Madrid Open, where he triumphed in 2011, 2016 and 2019.
