Paul Hughes Is ‘Fed Up’ With Usman Nurmagomedov’s ‘Bullsh*t’ After Being Told He Needs To ‘Win One More’

Welcome to Midnight Mania!

Let’s start things off by looking back at the three biggest stories from earlier today:

Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford is officially headed to Netflix. Considering the numbers that Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson did, this Dana White-led superfight could go nuclear.

Kamaru Usman is open to a welterweight clash against former UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. If Usman is able to get past Joaquin Buckley this weekend at UFC Atlanta then a future matchup against Makhachev is conceivable.
After a dominant title defense at UFC 316, bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili has surpassed the great Jon Jones in the official UFC rankings. At this rate, Jones is just lucky to still have his UFC heavyweight title.

Insomnia

Sean O’Malley claims he was more nervous than ever in his loss to Dvalishvili at UFC 316. The former champion hopes to shake off the defeat and return to the Octagon in December in a PPV co-main event.

Sean O’Malley thinks Merab ‘felt stronger’ in their rematch, and says it’s the most nervous he’s ever been before a fight:

“He felt different. He felt stronger… I definitely felt a nervous feeling that I’m not used to.

Sean O’Malley is frustrated about his placement on the next UFC card:

“You can’t main event me in the next fight. I can’t fight for the title next fight and they don’t do main events for non-titles. It’ll be on PPV, like a co-main.”

Sean O’Malley is targeting a return in December

“The division’s gonna play out over the next few months. We’ll see where it goes. December seems like it would make sense for me to get back in there.”

Here’s Tom Aspinall sharpening his grappling skills against Paddy Pimblett.

What a terrible way to wake up from surgery.

How big will Canelo vs. Crawford be on Netflix?

Is it time for Muhammad Mokaev to return to UFC?

Are you a Joe Pyfer fan?

“I never liked [‘Be Joe Pyfer’]. It’s fake love, man.

It was always cringe to me just because I don’t want people walk up and telling me, ‘Be Joe Pyfer.’ It’s corny.

I did like the message of it. I didn’t like it for the reasons people interpreted it.

I liked it for the way… pic.twitter.com/GcOOskfZul

This is wild, but does it mean anything for UFC Atlanta this weekend?

Kamaru Usman has not fought on a non-PPV televised card since the start of the ESPN deal in 2019.

Last time on cable TV was November 30, 2018 against Rafael dos Anjos.

Mauricio Ruffy really took his wife’s pregnancy struggles to heart. This is pretty alarming.

Mauricio Ruffy opens up about his darkest moments during his wife’s pregnancy struggles:

“I would come to the gym and ask God to send a car to run me over. I didn’t want to live anymore. If it didn’t happen, it would’ve ended my life. Ten days later… my wife was pregnant.” pic.twitter.com/vguW02m1RY

Do you agree with “Mighty Mouse?”

❗️Mighty Mouse thinks Kayla Harrison should consider retirement over fighting Amanda Nunes

“Kayla Harrison is calling out Amanda Nunes. I think that’s a very, very bad idea”

“If I was Kayla Harrison, I would retire from the sport— Don’t fight Amanda Nunes.”

Joaquin Buckley is a class act.

❤️ Joaquin Buckley reveals if he gets a bonus in his fight vs. Kamaru Usman, he will donate it to a tornado relief charities in St. Louis.

This comes after a tornado struck in St. Louis and caused $1.6 billion in damage.

Karma finds everyone.

The thing is I don’t pull out from a fight for diarrhea and concussions. If I don’t break my bones I’ll keep fighting, I’m different ! Don’t compare yourself to me ! https://t.co/uPHJPPJKmV
